The year was 1929, and E.W. Moore (my grandfather) decided there was a need for clothing in the small town of Tonkawa, OK.  Population - about 3,500 people.  (Bad timing considering the crash of 1929.)  At any rate, he started with work clothes and piece goods, managing to survive and then prosper for the next 30 years. 

At that time my parents, Dorothy and Dennis, purchased the store and added children's clothing, women's clothing and women's fashion shoes. 

After graduationg from college, working for J.C. Penny's in Fort Smith, AR and operating a tuxedo store in Norman, OK, I returned home to assist them in running the business.  Later, I purchased the business and moved it to Ponca City, OK.

Moore's has since evolved into men's and women's clothing and tuxedos.  We are entering a 4th generation of family involvement and have survived by offering quality fashion clothing at fair prices.  We strive to always put our customers first. 

We have now decided it is time to step off the sidelines and get into the game of e-commerce.  We pledge to give our online customers the same attention that our walk-in customers currently receive.
